Leading informal discussions

The informal discussions usually last about 15 minutes. The use of prepared visuals, outlines, explanations is required. You should use the scanners in the computer labs (or your own) for scanning in graphs, photos, etc., for use in both class presentations and your reports. Using scanners properly is sometimes difficult, so don't jam deadlines!

Class members are expected to participate in the discussions by asking questions, making suggestions, etc., and shaking their heads in bewilderment.

Most students prepare their discussions as powerpoint presentations.

You are encouraged to bring your presentation visuals and other materials on a flash drive and place them on the computer desktop before class begins; ah, but what happens if your flash drive fails??..... Alternatively, you can download your materials from the net from ANGEL or your web space. Please make sure to arrive early enough to get this done before class starts; remember that about 30 people will be doing this before 8 am each class period.
