"FROM BOOKS OF STONE, EARTH HISTORY"

Geoscience research and teaching programs at OGC are directed by Alessandro Montanari, a native of the Marche region of Italy. Sandro and his family moved to Coldigioco from Berkeley, California, where he completed his Ph.D. in geology at the University of California. Basic research on a variety of topics is ongoing and involves collaborating scientists from all over the world. OGC is intensively involved in geoscience education activities ranging from hosting independent student researchers to short courses and the Carleton Geology Program.
